Perdomo Cigars.

Perdomo emphasizes vertical integration and consistency at scale. By controlling its own tobacco farms, fermentation facilities, and the El Monstro factory, the company can produce large volumes of premium cigars without sacrificing quality control. The house style favors aged tobaccos — the Habano line famously ages for six years in oak rum barrels — and heavy emphasis on smooth, balanced burns suitable for both novice and experienced smokers. Perdomo positions itself as a value-tier alternative to higher-priced Dominican brands, delivering premium construction and flavor at accessible price points.

History

House Story

Perdomo Cigars traces its origins to Cuba, where founder Silvio Perdomo apprenticed at Cuesta y Cia in the early 1930s before moving to H. Upmann and then Partagas, where he stayed until 1959. After the Cuban Revolution, Silvio Perdomo was arrested and imprisoned for 15 years across multiple facilities before emigrating to the United States in 1974. His son, Nicholas Perdomo Sr., had also entered the cigar trade, beginning his apprenticeship in 1948.

The modern company was founded by Nicholas Perdomo Jr., who established a small cigar-making operation out of his garage in 1992, initially under the name Nick's Cigar Co. The company expanded to Estelí, Nicaragua in 1997 to lower costs, and a custom-built facility replaced the initial one in 1999. Today, Perdomo's manufacturing operation is based in an 88,000-square-foot facility in Estelí known as "El Monstro," which is the second-largest cigar-making facility in Nicaragua.

The company is headquartered in Miami Lakes, Florida and remains family-owned and operated, with Nick Perdomo Jr. serving as CEO. Perdomo controls its own tobacco farms in Nicaragua, allowing the company to vertically integrate from seed to shipping.
